The Lion

Close to a year ago, the lion gracefully and forcefully entered into one of my therapy sessions.

In one session, my therapist asked me to envision courage. An image of a lion roaming a free land entered my mind.

Throughout the year, the lion and I have learned to dance to our beautiful rhythm.

When I need comfort, I can feel the lion's roar vibrating against my skin.

When I need guidance, I walk beside the lion and look at the landscape.

When I need protection, I can feel grounded to the earth as the lion's roar permeates the mountains ahead of me.

I am forever grateful that my therapist helped me find this core to who I am.

I was going to write a full narrative of what the lion means to me, but I remembered that I took a photo of a beautiful description of the lion and the elements.

Enough said.
